Bears Photos - Mating Period

The Bears are most active during spring and summer and they sleep during the most part of the winter. There is usually more than one mating period that these animals have. The mating period begins in June and the female usually gives birth to one to five cubs that weigh about 12 ounces each. The dens are made in hallow stumps, tree cavities and so on.

The animals usually sleep during a long period, although they may also leave their dens for a short period in the case where they are disturbed or during brief warming trends. They are mostly active in the morning and late in the evening.

Bears Photos - Animal's Attacks

Bears were feared because they were thought to be very aggressive and apt to attack or kill people. Although nowadays it is a well-known fact that these animals will attack only when they feel that they are confronted with danger and that they have to protect themselves or their young. These animals do not commonly attack humans although there were such incidents reported.

Bears Photos - Behavior

Bears are solitary animals and they do not live in groups. Only when the mating season approaches do the Bears find their partner and pair up. The mating season is in the summer and, during this time, a male and a female bear may live together for about a month.

Bears are curious, intelligent, and potentially dangerous animals. However, they tend to avoid people and they seldom attack people. Yet, people still think that Bears are aggressive and dangerous. Therefore, there are many Bears that are killed every year due to these ideas.
